Fighting for Their Family

Look at the picture of this beautiful family. This couple has been together for four years and are doing their best to be loving moms to their daughter. Inger and Philippa have a sweet story of how they met, fell in love and were married. Yet, due to discriminatory immigration laws and the Defense of Marriage Act, the two women only get to see each other a few times a year. Despite being legally married in the state of Iowa, Inger cannot sponsor her spouse to immigrate to the US as any heterosexual couple could. They shared their story us us in hopes of spreading the word about need to change US marriage laws and immigration policy.
