With such a quiet week for our pair last week, it makes sense that this one makes up for it... and so much more!
1st December – Part 1
The four Websters are sitting around the table eating breakfast, and Sally is discussing with the girls how much their dad should spend on them at Christmas.
They seem puzzled, until she says he gave £100 to baby Jack, and says that if that’s the going rate they should be worth at least £500 each. Kevin says that if it bothers her that much she’ll go and ask Ty for a refund, causing Sally to liken him to Scrooge.
He turns and says that he’ll take the morning off work and take Sally shopping for her present. That way she’s sure to get something she wants. Sally turns to Sophie and Random Rosie and says that if he’s offering to take her shopping there must be something wrong with him, and the three of them giggle.
1st December – Part 2
Sally asks Kevin for a Christmas tree, a real one, and Kevin gets Ty to pick it for him. When Sally stops by the garage, Kevin shows her it, and she’s excited about it until she learns Ty was the one who got it for her.
She then invites Ty, Molly and baby Jack to their house for Christmas dinner. Kevin says he’d best ask Molly first, but Ty assures him she’ll love it and accepts, much to Kevin’s worry.
Molly loses the place with Ty when she finds out what he’s done. She says that she wants Christmas to be with her family, and to spend it with her husband and baby, not with the Websters. She tells him that he has to come up with a very good excuse as to why they can’t make Christmas dinner with the Webters, and storms out the room.
2nd December
Sally tells Sophie and Double R that they’ve got guests coming for Christmas dinner:
RR: Hear that Soph? Baby Jesus is coming to stay.
Sophie: Or maybe it’s Santa bringing you clothes that actually fit!?
Sally tells them it’s Molly, Ty and baby Jack. Double R is far from impressed, asking if Molly’s still breast-feeding. When Sally asks why, Double R says in the way only she can: “If she gets them out at the table I’m so out of here!”
Molly goes to apologise to Ty at the garage, with chocolate. Trying to cover her tracks maybe?!
Ty gives in and goes to tell Kevin that they won’t be joining him and his family for Christmas. Kevin agrees without a fight and Ty is angered by his blasé response. He then suggests to Kevin that he should have dinner with Sally and the girls, while Kevin and Molly sulk together. Ty storms off, for more chocolate! Comfort eating, it’s never a good thing.

Ty goes home and tells Molly about Kevin’s response. She seems equally blasé in hers, and he asks if they’ve had a row. Molly says no, but if it makes him happy they’ll spend Christmas with Kevin and Sally. Ty tells her they can’t now as he’s told Kevin, no. She walks away to get baby Jack who’s crying and in frustration Ty throws his jacket on the couch.
It hits Molly’s bag to the floor, emptying the contents, so he starts picking them up, until he finds her prescription contraception pills...when they’re supposed to be trying for another baby! Oooooooooh!!
When Molly comes back he confronts her about the pills, as well as her recent behaviour. He asks her to tell him what’s going on, but she tells he doesn’t want to know. When he says he does, baby Jack starts crying and Ty goes to see to him, leaving Molly looking distraught.
3rd December
Ty and Kevin are talking in the garage about Molly’s behaviour. Ty asks Kevin’s advice on what to do, but Kevin says one word: flowers. He then says, that women are all mad, once you know that, everything else is just guessing.
Ty catches Molly leaving the house later that day and goes to apologise. Only it sounds more like the 3rd degree. She flips out at him and storms off, leaving a puzzled Ty behind.
Kevin invites Ty to his house for dinner, and Sally finds out they won’t be have Ty and his family round for Christmas dinner. Sally asks why, what’s happened? Ty just sits quietly, so she asks Kevin instead and he leans over and softly says: Molly. Kevin leaves to go and buy some cans of beer for him and Ty.
On the way back from getting the beers, Kevin goes to see Molly. She tells him that she’s leaving Ty, and taking baby Jack with her. He asks what she’s going to tell Ty, and that there’s nothing to be gained from the truth. Before leaving Kevin says that she can tell Ty what she likes, but leave him out of it.
Ty goes home to Molly, and she tells him that it’s not that she doesn’t want more kids, she just doesn’t want more kids with him. She then tells him that she doesn’t love him, and to let her go: it’s finished.
6th December – Part 1
The whole Webster family, and Sian, are in the kitchen and living room. Double R is asking Sally why Ty and family aren’t joining them for Christmas dinner, particularly as they’ve ordered the massive turkey to feed them all. Sally checks with Kevin that Ty was ok today, but Kevin said he didn’t show at work as something had come up.
While Sally asks Kevin why he didn’t go and check that everything was ok, Double R is blabbering on about a hen night happening that night. She says they’re boring unless you go away for the day or go to a Spa. So naturally Sophian laugh and make jokes about Double R’s train of thought being on skin and beauty.

Molly is on the phone to her Dad informing him that her and baby Jack will be with him later that night. Ty hears the conversation and tells her he won’t let her go. She says that she’s sorry, but she has to go.
Ty goes to the corner shop and buys a bottle of Whiskey when Sally comes in. She blabbers on about Christmas dinner and says that she understands them not coming for dinner, but they can always go for a couple of hours in the afternoon to see everyone. Ty says no and Sally suggests that she goes and talks to Molly about it.
Ty tells her not to as Molly’s leaving him, taking baby Jack away with her too...all because she doesn’t love him. He then storms out the door leaving a confused and shocked Sally behind him.
The family are having dinner and Sally is talking about Ty and Molly splitting. She comments on how you don’t really know what goes on in people’s marriages, and Sophie says that she doesn’t want to. Double R says that it’s not like someone else would fancy Molly, and Sally turns to Kevin asking if he knows more than he’s letting on.
Kevin goes on the defensive, but Sally simply says that because he works with Ty he might know something else. Sian says that maybe Molly’s said something and that’s why they’re splitting as that’s what her parents did. Sophie pipes in with: “Yeah, until they separated”, and giggles at her girlfriend’s response.
Sophie turns to her mum and notices that she wants to go over to Ty and Molly’s. Double R comments: “Oh look at her, she’s dying to go”. Kevin goes all Alpha Male and tells them that no-one’s going over. Sally turns to him and argues if that’s an order. Kevin simply says that she should know the last thing they will want is an audience.
Molly’s almost finished packing to leave and Ty gets upset. He begs her to stay and tells her that she can have her affair with whoever it is and they can go away as often as they like together, he’ll just stay at home and look after Jack. She says no. He then says that if she doesn’t love him, take pity on him. She tells him that that’s what she’s been doing. Ty looks absolutely crushed by her confession.
Molly’s all packed up and ready with baby Jack in his pram. They go to leave out the front door, but Ty jumps in front of her and says he won’t let her go. She goes to move backwards to leave through the backdoor and Ty jumps behind her so she can’t leave there either.
Molly asks if he’s going to keep that up all night and he says yes, if he has to he will. He then says that fine, he’ll let her go, but she’s leaving Jack with him: “He’s my son”. Ooooooooh, it’s all going to come out now, isn’t it??
Molly tells him that if he doesn’t let her leave she’s going to call the police. Ty says that she can go and he won’t stop her but he’s not letting her take Jack with her. “He’s my flesh and blood [...] he’s all I’ve got left.” Molly tells him the devastating news that we’ve known for weeks: he’s not your son. Aw no!

6th December – Part 2
Ty asks her who it was, who she was with and who’s Jack’s dad. He then says that she’s lying so that she can go and take Jack, but Molly tells him about the affair, about her almost leaving him the year before until the person she was with ended it. Molly goes to leave, but tells Ty that she doesn’t want anything, he can keep the house. Ty tells her to go and never come back.
Molly stands in the street outside the Websters house, and calls Kevin. Inside, the girls all want dessert after their dinner, but Sian’s eaten the last of the fruit and there’s no ice-cream left. Sally suggests they go to the shop and buy some more, while Kevin is distracted by Molly calling his mobile.
Sally tidies the table of the dinner plates and discussing the new bar in town when the door goes. Sophie says that she’ll get it, and returns with Ty. He’s in tears and tells Sally that baby Jack isn’t his, and breaks down in tears in his arms while the girls look on in shock.
Molly goes to say goodbye to Sunita at the corner shop, when Kevin arrives to get ice cream. Sunita goes through the back to get change for the till, innocently leaving Molly and Kevin alone.
Molly says that she’s left Ty, she’s told him he isn’t Jack’s Dad, but didn’t say it was Kevin. She says that he could go with them, if not he should say goodbye to his son as she’s never coming back. Kevin looks torn at the thought of not seeing his son again.
The final section of this episode is shot in flash scenes, with the camera floating between the hen night, the stag night, Kevin saying goodbye to baby Jack and Molly, Sally calling Kevin with the girls supporting Ty, and 3 other storylines.
There’s a massive explosion at the new bar where the stag night is, which is built under the arch of a train track. The blast sets the place on fire and collapses the roof; it sends people near the building and in the street flying to the ground, and traps several people under rubble. Those not caught in the blast go to help, until they see an oncoming tram heading for the break in the track over the bar.
<!--pagebreak-->
The driver tries to break but doesn’t manage in time. Just as Molly makes it out of the corner shop she sees the tram coming off the tracks and straight for her and baby Jack, so she runs back in the shop trying to outrun being hit by the tram.
With carnage everywhere in the street and the tram hanging off the track: who will survive the blast that turned a street like this:

Will it just be Molly, leaving Tyrone to get the DNA test done on him...and revealing Kevin as the dad to spin Sophian’s world into complete chaos?! Come back next week to find out what happens next.
Here’s a sneak peak shot from next week’s recap showing you just how back the street is from the air:
