It's the Word of the Year (But what does it mean?)

The 2010 Words of the Year declared by Merriam-Webster and the New Oxford American Dictionary.

New Oxford American Dictionary?s word of the year is refudiate -- which does not come up in my MacBook?s spotlight dictionary and is underlined in red as I type this in a Word.doc. But it is a word-- albeit obscure -- as made famous [infamous?] by Sarah Palin?s Twitter feed.
We once had refute and repudiate. Now we add refudiate to the mix.
Commence command: Ignore All.

The words of the year have been announced. If you don't know, you better learn. This is our life and this is what we call it. Take the quick quiz and get smart.
