December 15
Olli has taken little Lilly to work and left Rebecca to take care of her. Rebecca mentions Christian should be happy he has Olli and Lilly in his life and Olli tells her he is very happy to have them both as well.
December 16
Rebecca is back at No Limits and more nervous and flustered than ever. She assures Miriam it has nothing to do with her. Rebecca has just had a bad day, something with family. She isn’t looking to talk about it. Miriam asks her to do something with her tomorrow as she is off work. She assures Rebecca it isn’t a date. Rebecca blows her off though; she has to sow some more handbags. Miriam looks a bit shattered, but keeps up a brave face. Rebecca seems to be doubting her decision already.
As so often happens in soap stories, Lilly’s dad has turned up and wants her back. Miriam is at Olli and Christian’s house for moral support. Guess who shows up as well because she was bored? That’s right; Rebecca. Busted! Rebecca looks horrified while Miriam evilly glows a little. There are more people at the house and Miriam invites everyone along for some distraction. She glows when she tells Rebecca they can have their date after all. Rebecca doesn’t seem too happy. The group settles on a game of pool.
Miriam saunters over to Rebecca, who is valiantly attempting to put a ball through a hole.
Rebecca estimates it will take about 200 or so more years before she will be able to play pool properly. Miriam tells her it’s easy and that she, in fact, can teach her. Rebecca has a heart attack. This is the most blatant come-on ever and I love it!
Rebecca squirms away, claiming that it tickled. Miriam apologizes, but doesn’t look regretful at all! She shows Rebecca how to sink the ball (I repeat the butch alert from recap one, that woman can play a mean game of pool!) and afterwards Rebecca allows her to teach her how to play pool the flirty way.
<!--pagebreak-->
It only takes a couple more rounds for Rebecca to get the hang of pool and before long she is boasting about her abilities. Miriam takes the bait and challenges her. When Rebecca sinks the ball, Miriam hurries over, flings an arm around Rebecca’s shoulders and presses a kiss to her cheek. Rebecca jumps away if stung. Seriously, Rebecca? I know you guys are taking things slow but from the kitchen table to this in a couple of days?
Miriam is not amused. She turns to the other people they’re with and leaves Rebecca to sort herself out at the other table. It takes a while, but then Rebecca slowly comes closer and apologizes. As a peace offering she asks Miriam to teach her how to use one of the special cues. Miriam is done being used as a punching bag, however.
Miriam: Such a natural as you can surely figure it out yourself. I wouldn’t want to get too close again.
Ouch! But, I have to admit, that was deserved, and I’m happy Miriam has finally reached her BS limit. Rebecca looks like someone just smashed her favorite toy. A little later, Miriam is wiping the table with one of her friends, Constantin, even though he is really good. As she goes for her victory high fives, she intentionally skips Rebecca. Ouch! She must be really pissed!
December 17
Rebecca and Miriam are standing next to each other without speaking, watching the others play pool. Rebecca finally can’t handle it anymore and turns to Miriam for another bout of explanations and apologies.
Rebecca: Okay, I overreacted earlier. I’m sorry. This thing between us… you know… I just can’t get my head around it. I’m just not sure but I never meant to hurt you. That’s why… Can you please stop ignoring me now?
Miriam doesn’t look very convinced.
Miriam pauses a little but then fires up.
Miriam: Other than all of this you’re feeling okay, right? When I get too close, you start bitching. When I keep my distance you start sulking.
Rebecca: You started sulking because I… Because I wouldn’t let you kiss me in front of all these people.
Miriam: Get yourself together! I gave you a small kiss on your cheek and you acted like I wanted to make out with you on the pool table!
Rebecca: I tried to apologize for it but you’re so busy all the time.
<!--pagebreak-->
At this point, the two get interrupted by Constantin and Rebecca storms off. Miriam is even more pissed off than before, if at all possible.
Some time passes and Christian is looking frantically around his house for his ID card. There is a knock on the door and a very frantic Rebecca is at the door. She asks if he’s got a moment and Christian agrees, but keeps running around like a headless chicken, looking for his ID. I’m just gonna recap this entire conversation.
Rebecca: Well, it’s like this… I have… no, let me try again… I think I have fallen…
Christian: What’s wrong? Did you ruin the felt of the pool table?
Rebecca: No! I had an argument with Miriam.
Christian: Wow! Respect! That’s like making Buddha angry. Miriam is the most even-tempered person I know.
Rebecca: Shit! I ruined any chance I had with her.
Christian: Chance for what? Free drinks?
Rebecca: Christian! A Chance…
Christian: [Finally pausing and turning around] No! Really?
Remember, Olli knows about the two of them from Miriam, but Christian obviously didn’t have a clue. There is a short jump to Miriam, who is completely rocking the pool table but she looks like she could cry. When complemented on her awesome game, she merely answers “Lucky in play…”
Back at the House of Reveal and Confusion, Christian, who is the perfect person to talk to as it took forever for Olli to convince him of their love, has given his undivided attention to Miriam who has sunk down on the couch.
Rebecca: I’ve always been crossed in love.
Christian: I just think you’re scared. You’re confused. You don’t trust your feelings because they are unfamiliar.
Rebecca: I tried to push what I feel for her to the back of my mind but I didn’t succeed.
Christian: It’s hopeless trying to fight against your feelings. Rebecca, I know what I’m talking about.
Rebecca: [Frustrated] It’s too late now anyway. She’s surely no longer interested in me.
Back at the pool hall, a depressed Miriam gets ready to leave. Her friends ask if it’s because of Rebecca and she agrees. They tell her Rebecca can be a bitch sometimes but she never really means it. Miriam says she thinks that Rebecca did mean it this time and she understands why. Before the mood goes down any further, she leaves her friends to enjoy the game.
Rebecca gets ready to leave as well, thanking Christian for his advice. Before she goes, she locates the ID card he’s been looking for. Embarrassed, Christian grabs it and there is a moment of silence. Then Christian asks Rebecca to watch Lilly for a second as he has to do something. Rebecca, probably grateful for the time alone, agrees.

Christian, who will henceforth be known as Cupid, has gone to No Limits where Miriam (as she seems to have no home of her own) turns up a few minutes later. She’s still looking depressed and Cupid swoops in, bow poised.
Unsubtly he asks if Miriam is lovesick and who the ‘person’ is. Miriam wonders if Olli didn’t tell him anything and Christian says Olli doesn’t discuss his employees’ private lives. Miriam thinks it’s better that way; that ship has sailed anyway.
Cupid asks if she’s sure and Miriam says she is, that she messed up. She’s obviously furious with herself. Cupid, not so good at this matchmaking thing yet, gives her the ID card he just spent his entire morning looking for and asks Miriam to run it upstairs because Olli needs it. Of course, it won’t be Olli she finds, but Rebecca.
Rebecca is talking to Lilly about boy and girl troubles when the doorbell rings. Miriam is as surprised to find Rebecca at the door as Rebecca is to find Miriam, but Rebecca works it out at lightning speed. Miriam, to her credit, is equally fast. She asks if Christian knows about the two of them and Rebecca nods.
Miriam: May I come in?
Rebecca: Eh… sure!
Miriam: [Smiling a little] To be honest, I’m glad that Christian fooled us… I don’t know if we would have talked to each other this soon otherwise. Right?
Rebecca: [Smiling as well and stepping closer] No… I think I wouldn’t have dared. I’m really sorry about being so mean to you.
Miriam: I wasn’t acting much better myself.
Rebecca: Shall we forget about it?
Miriam: [Nodding] We’ll forget it.
Lilly’s happy mumblings interrupt the two and before they know it, they are finger-painting with a toddler and loving every second of it.
It takes only a couple of minutes of quiet painting before a paint fight breaks out and before long, the girls are covered. It’s such a cute scene! … And then the mood shifts; they are in close proximity and the laughter dies as their heart rates increase. They smile sweetly at each other and the attraction is thick. Before anything can happen, the scene changes to nighttime. Sigh.
<!--pagebreak-->
The girls are still in the apartment, Lilly has been put to sleep and Miriam has to go to work. The two stall as they say goodbye. Rebecca questions if she really has to go and Miriam says she has to. She’s not happy about it at all though. As Miriam opens the door, Rebecca comes to a decision. She forces the door shut again and whispers:
Rebecca: F*ck work…
… and launches herself forward against a waiting Miriam who drops her coat and wraps her arms around Rebecca as they stumble through the room, kissing. Rebecca pushes the two of them down over the back of the couch and ends up on top of Miriam who more than happily shifts her body to accommodate the woman of her dreams.
December 18
Miriam and Rebecca lay embraced on the couch in Olli and Christian’s apartment. They’re kissing and slowly undress each other. It’s clear there will be no interruption this time and when we fade back in, the girls are dressing again and having flirty conversation as well as sweet kisses. It’s clear neither regrets making love and that is wonderful to watch.
<!--pagebreak-->
Rebecca mentions the guys and Miriam finally remembers where she is. She scrambles for her clothes while Rebecca, still very much enjoying the afterglow of their lovemaking, asks her to come home with her. Miriam tries to wiggle out of that one; she’s not looking forward to meeting daddy dearest again after their previous encounter. Rebecca keeps on her, however, and while the two dress, I really start to wonder if Miriam is homeless or something. Couldn’t they just go to her place?!
Anyway… while the girls are nearly done dressing, Olli and Christian come in. Olli asks what Christian was being so secretive about when he lays eyes on the two girls who blush furiously and scramble for the last of their clothing items.
Miriam tries one more time to get out of coming home with Rebecca by saying she needs to work, but Olli and Christian, terribly happy their plan worked, give her the night off. Christian and Olli are very, very happy with themselves and for good reason!
Miriam is blown away by the size of the castle. And for good reason, obviously! Rebecca invites her to breakfast and doesn’t let Miriam wiggle out of this one either. In the breakfast room, Rebecca grabs Miriam’s arm and bouncily introduces her as her friend… with a very obvious smile… And someone catches on… Hihi!
Next thing Miriam knows, Rebecca makes a bold, bold statement:
Rebecca: Yes, Miriam and I are together now.
It is safe to say Miriam hadn’t expected that. Also; these girls only have two speeds; backwards and warp. It’s giving me whiplash!
Ansgar remarks that this is yet another family in the family tree and doesn’t seem too happy about it. Miriam is taken aback a bit, but Rebecca fully ignores him. Rebecca’s dad tells Miriam to ignore anything Ansgar says. Miriam sits down and Rebecca, who is definitely on a roll, says:
Rebecca: It has taken many men but now I know for sure… [reaches out to stroke Miriam’s arm] I’m into women.
All I can think is ‘DOOMED!’ but I seriously hope that that’s just me.
<!--pagebreak-->
Rebecca’s dad jokes about the press and how they need to be careful, to which Rebecca remarks that they might just as well present themselves as a couple now. This is all a bit too much for Miriam (who was rebuffed for a peck on the cheek not even 24 hours ago) and she says that she won’t be attending the party the two are talking about. No one takes offence. Dad leaves the room to leave the new lovebirds to yet another fight.
Miriam: What’s wrong with you?! I won’t appear before the press with you!
Rebecca: That was just a joke!
Miriam: Very funny! And why are you telling everyone we’re together?
Rebecca: Well I… I thought you… didn’t you like it?
Miriam: That’s not the point. We said we would take it easy. I don’t even know if I want a long-term relationship at all! And if you’re honest, you feel the same way.
Apparently Miriam does have a point, because Rebecca says nothing. Miriam excuses herself and leaves the table, the house, and Rebecca to her own thoughts.
Whiplash! Whiplash! Rebecca is at No Limits where Miriam is just leaving to go study for an important exam. Rebecca apologizes profusely.
Rebecca: I’m a stupid, selfish egoist. I was so happy and I wanted to tell the whole world about us. I didn’t think about how you felt about it. How awful it must have felt for you, in front of my whole family and in front of…
Miriam: Take a breath!
Rebecca: What?
Miriam: You have to breathe or else you’ll faint.
Rebecca: I’m stupid, totally stupid. Will you forgive me?
Miriam: [Smiling widely] On one condition.
Rebecca: Anything.
Miriam: Stay stupid. That’s exactly what I like about you.
Christian (who had been watching with Olli): Yep, so do we!
Olli: He’s right!
Rebecca gives Miriam a lucky stone for the exam and, after a tiny bit of hesitation and gazing, Miriam leans forward and kisses Rebecca softly on the mouth. Rebecca’s eyes drift shut and the two kiss slowly for a while, while Christian and Olli look on happily.
Olli: So tell me, are you two together now, or what? Like really together?
Rebecca and Miriam [together]: Not yet. – Somehow, yes!
The girls smile and it’s pretty obvious that both their answers are actually a resounding yes!
December 19:
The girls only have scenes separately today. Miriam was supposed to study for her exam with some other, including Andi, but gets shuffled out of the house by him because he got cold feet and hasn’t studied enough.
Rebecca and her family try to come up with a present for the heads of the family, but fail to come to a decision.
Miriam’s test starts and she has Rebecca’s lucky stone on the table in front of her. Andi does show up but as he looks over the questions, he doesn’t look too confident.
