Eight gay marriage activists were arrested Tuesday after blocking traffic in Midtown Manhattan.
Queer Rising [1] unfurled a banner across 6th Avenue at 42nd street that read ?NY Demands Marriage Equality Now.?

Frostie Flakes, 24-year-old drag queen activist and nightlife performer, told Towleroad she has had enough unequal treatment.
"It?s a sad thing that I have to go to such extreme lengths for rights that others were born with," said Flakes, one of three arrested drag queens.
?We do not enjoy inconveniencing drivers on their hectic morning commute,? said Jake Goodman, a member of Queer Rising [1] who was also arrested, ?but we less enjoy living without the 1,324 protections and rights granted by state-recognized marriage.?
All eight activists were taken to the 7th precinct and released.
