California Supreme Court to Hear Prop. 8 Arguments

Last year, US District Court Judge Vaughn Walker decided that California?s Proposition 8 is unconstitutional.  Proponents of the anti-gay measure appealed that decision to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.  The 9th Circuit, early this year, asked the California Supreme Court to weigh in on the legal question surrounding the right of Prop 8 supporters to appeal the decision. The Supreme Court of California unanimously decided to hear arguments to that legal question, and set an expedited schedule for review, allowing for oral arguments ?as early as September.?   Related Media Coverage: Los Angeles Times ?
