Colorado Civil Union Bill Advances to a Vote in the State Senate
On Friday, the Colorado Civil Union Act cleared its final committee in the state Senate. The bill is scheduled for debate on the Senate floor tomorrow and could come to a vote as early as Wednesday. If it passes in the Senate, which many expect to happen, the bill will move to the House of Representatives. Lawmakers say the bill?s fate is more uncertain in the House, where it will be assigned to another committee for consideration.
