UPDATED: Aubrey Sarvis leaving post as SLDN executive director

WASHINGTON ? Aubrey Sarvis, who has led Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (SLDN) for more than four years in a successful fight to repeal ?Don?t Ask, Don?t Tell,? is leaving the organization.
Sarvis' departure from SLDN is the third major resignation at iconic LGBT organizations in the past year. Geoff Kors, the longtime executive director of Equality California, left his position on March 31, 2011. And Joe Solmonese is departing at the end of March 2012 as president of the Human Rights Campaign.
