Oklahoma City Moves Gay Pride to May, Teams With Gay Rodeo
Oklahoma City has joined an increasing number of cities (Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA; Hartford and New Haven, CT) in moving their Gay Pride festival from the traditional month of June to a different time of year. In 2012, OKC Pride will expand from its traditional weekend of events to a full 10 days of fun and celebration, commencing May 18 and last through May 27. In previous years, the city's Parade and Festival have taken place in late June. This is great news for Oklahomans who wish to attend one of the big events around the country that coincide with the Stonewall Riots commemoration in late June - cities such as New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Houston, St. Louis, and Seattle all fall into this category....Read Full Post
