SAN DIEGO -- The City of San Diego is considering a project to retrofit the Georgia Street Bridge, which crosses over University Avenue, just east of Park Boulevard. The main purpose of this retrofit is seismically related - meaning, it's being retrofitted to better handle earthquakes.
Built in 1914, the bridge, abutments, and retaining walls are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. As such, input is being sought to determine how to proceed.
