Brooklyn born and raised Nicki Walker and Goleta, Calif. native Melanie Peters were both musicians charting their own separate courses through life when a chance meeting at a Hollywood coffee shop in 1997 put them on each other?s radar and a friendship soon forged.
Local lesbian music and comedy duo Nick and Mel will perform Sept. 7 when Poppy Champlin?s Queer Queens of Qomedy show returns to Birch North Park Theatre.
