SAN DIEGO, California -- Day 2 of the 16th annual FilmOut San Diego LGBT Film Festival begins at 11 am today and continues until midnight at the North Park Theatre.
Opening Night, by all accounts, was a smash hit. A nearly sold-out audience gave a prolonged standing ovation at the conclusion of "Boy Meet Girl," filmmaker Eric Schaeffer's transgender love story. The film's breakout star, Michelle Hendley, who is transgender herself, earned raves for her acting debut as Ricky. Co-stars Alexandra Turshen and Michael Galante also attended the gala evening along with producer Elisa Pugliese.
