Marriage a Bigger Issue in November Elections Than Previously Thought
In the upcoming November elections, while no states will be voting on bans against marriage for same-sex couples, the issue is becoming bigger than expected. Take Minnesota, New Hampshire, California and New York, for example. Democratic candidates are supporting marriage for gay and lesbian couples while Republicans are opposed. And in Iowa, voters are deciding whether to vote out three state Supreme Court justices who joined the decision to make marriage equality legal. These are just a few examples of the issue of marriage taking over the landscape of the November 2010 elections.
