Openly Gay Man Elected Chair of Colorado Democratic Party

On Saturday, openly gay Rick Palacio, 36, was elected chair of the Colorado Democratic Party. At the party?s biennial reorganizational meeting, Palacio garnered more than 50 percent of the vote from members of the state central committee. He defeated former state Senator Polly Baca and former Larimer County Democratic Chairman Adam Bowen.
