Lesbians and Boobs
.Insurance is killing me. As a result, I decided back in February that I would pay my March premium, get my check-ups done and drop my insurance. I had a mammogram - my first since I was 35 and had a base-line done. I wanted to get it over with and went to one of the best hospitals in the country to have it done. Imagine my surprise when they requested my baseline films to compare my new ones with. So I ordered them to be sent and waited to get my clean bill of health. .I got a few weird letters telling me that I missed an appointment and when one came last week as certified, I called the hospital to tell them that I made my appointment and was waiting for my results. Apparently, the results came back that I needed a diagnostic appointment because I have something in both of my breasts. A letter was supposedly faxed to my doctor, who never got it. If I had not followed up, who knows how long it would have taken me to make my follow-up appointment. .I feel calm about it. If I have some type of breast cancer and it's early, I will just have them take them both off and be done with it. If it is a later stage, I will fight with all my might to stick around because my dream is to see my kids have kids of their own. If it is too late and I don't have a lot of time, I am ready to go, although it would be with some sadness that I never got to meet my grandkids or see my children get married. I will feel apprehensive about who would take care of my parents and my wife. In the end, I know they will be in God's hands..So how can I make this post gay? Easy! I found this page from BreastCancer.org? that discusses lesbians and breast cancer. It advises that women should be open about their sexuality with their healthcare providers, partner rights, estranged family members, privacy and other issues that seem to be common among lesbians. If you are a lesbian, be sure to peruse this page sometime and educate yourself before you find yourself in a crisis.
