GLAAD's LA staff celebrates the holidays at PUMP with Bravo's Lisa Vanderpump

Lisa Vanderpump from Bravo's Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Vanderpump Rules continued her support of GLAAD last night by hosting the Los Angeles staff holiday party at her West Hollywood restaurant PUMP. Vanderpump met with GLAAD's President Sarah Kate Ellis and staff, alongside husband Ken and their dog Giggy.

Thanks to Ken, Lisa and Giggy for having GLAAD staff at Pump for our holiday party in LA!
A photo posted by @glaad on Dec 12, 2014 at 7:49pm PST

Vanderpump has a long history of supporting GLAAD and the LGBT community. Last year, she and GLAAD Board of Directors member Cody Lassen spoke about the importance of Spirit Day and supporting LGBT youth at the unveiling of a Westfield Group Spirit Day photo installation. Vanderpump appeared at the 22nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles where she co-presented the award for Outstanding Reality Series and she hosted GLAAD's Hancock Park: Top Chef Invasion event in 2011. She has also spoken out against Chik-fil-A's anti-LGBT policies and leant her voice in support of Jennifer Tyrrell, a mother of four from Bridgeport, Ohio who was ousted from the Boy Scouts of America because she is gay. Vanderpump previously hosted GLAAD's post-PRIDE party at her restaurant SUR.
Thank you to Lisa, Ken and the PUMP staff for having us!

Say It

Speak up…again and again…and again

I was on the bandstand in LA, just 48 hours before the big 2008 election, thrilled to be singing for yet another gay wedding

I was becoming aware of a strange, new sense of ease in the midst of this uber-straight group of guys, all of whom had, at one point or another, let me know they were unthreatened by the shocking fact that I had “changed teams”. (As if somehow I was now part of the opposition). I whirled around and, with big eyes for emphasis, reminded everyone, “It’s ‘No’ on Prop 8 this Tuesday.”

The Bass player looked up from his tuner, “No, it’s ‘Yes.’”

Now I added the big arms. “No, no, no – we’re voting &l…

As the government sets to begin reviews of new diet drugs, American obesity rates are nudging upwards in 28 states over the past year, a new report shows. The Center of Disease Control and Prevention reports that 68% of Americans are considered over weight or obese.

“Obesity is one of the biggest public health crises in the country,” Levi added. “Rising rates of obesity over past decades is one of the major fa…

Sources for quality lesbian erotica

Where is all the lesbian/queer erotica that doesn't suck? (NSFW, naturally) Gals, help a lady-loving lady out. I am seeking short-form lesbian/queer erotica that fits the following (admittedly rather particular) criteria:

- Smart. Genuinely well-written. Conforms to the basic writing principle of 'show, don't tell'.
- High smut-to-plot ratio. Writer establishes the characters and setting, then lets them get sexy with minimal non-sexy dialogue/dyke drama/coming-out angst/detailed descriptions of knitting/etc in the interim.
- Allows insight into at least one character's internal world. Makes room for vulnerability and uncertainty. More than just a third-person description of tab A going into slot B.
- Describes sex that is safe, sane and enthusiastically consensual for all parties (kink is fine but not required).
- Is written by queer women and portrays queer women's sex lives in a realistic (if unusually sex-tastic) way. No implausible rendezvous, genre fiction cliches, spontaneous locker-room scissoring sessions, etc.

I enjoyed much of Sugarbutch's early work, as well as their book Sweet and Rough. It's smart, brilliantly crafted, and sexy as fuck. I like the way they play with sexuality in a thoughtful, almost intellectual way, while still being incredibly smutty. But I'd like to branch out beyond their favoured genderqueer butch top/femme sub dynamic, and I'm a bit skeeved out by the 'daddy/boi' stories they've been writing more recently.

I checked out Best Lesbian Erotica 2014 but despite a few gems, there is just so much plot and angst and drama and so much telling-not-showing and honestly a lot of the stories read more like teenage fanfic than smutty smut for grown-ups. I can find romance and conflict in actual literature; when it comes to erotica I just want to read stories that get me off. Basically I want the written word version of Crashpad, where the plot is pretty much: "Hot queers meet to have sexy sex. It's super sexy in all kinds of ways, some of which might stretch your sexual horizons. Everyone involved has an awesome sexy time. The End".

So, um?where can I find erotica like that?

Walking Alone

.Do you ever contemplate the sadness of walking life alone?  .Although you may have friends and family that can walk with you for a while, you realize that they have their own friends and family and you know it's not possible for them to walk with you the entire journey?. Even though you could make it alone, sharing the joyful moments of your journey with someone you really love is the happiness that a good life is made of.  .It reminds me of that scene in "Jerry Maguire" where he had his big night but he couldn't enjoy it because his wife wasn't with him.  He's telling her (in front of a room full of women) that he realizes that his happiness is now contingent upon having her presence to share it with.  . .(Wasn't that sweet?) .Not only do you suffer walking alone by having nobody to share your basic life joys with, but you also know that when you suffer a heart-break (and you WILL), there is nobody with you to comfort you.  .When you feel no hand rubbing your back and have no body to just be physically present, be certain that your sadness becomes multiplied.  .Walking alone is hard and with each passing year, I have greater tenderness in my heart for those who must do it.  It will never be my desire to walk alone but sometimes, it's not up to us.  For those who must do it who don't want to, my heart goes out to you. . Love and light.

February 2012 - Life on the Road (and mostly my crib)

Hello hello! So here we are again. I started this special series of blog entries last month (Click here for Jan. 2012) and am happy to report that...well there is more to report. I have *words* to say about February which means the clock hasn't yet struck midnight on this little fairy tale I'm living.(My friend Adriana and I doin' a faux prom pic in the middle of a hotel in LA a few days ago. That's normal, right? Oh and although it definitely looks like it, she is NOT in love with me. Totally looks like it, though, doesn't it. Sheesh, no means no, lady!)Now don't get me wrong: the job I have (like I'm sure it is for most of you reading this) is a LOT of hard work. Truly. It's mentally and physically challenging and there are a VAGILLION moving parts and lots of high stakes gigs/days. But the good news is that I LOVE that sort of energy. I love high stakes. I love having a ton of responsibility and people looking to me for answers. I love still having so many questions, and being a sponge, soaking it all up each and every day. Cause I know one day I will be jaded. One day this will just be a J.O.B. I hope that doesn't happen for several decades and that when it DOES happen, I'm somewhere on a jetpack and it won't matter anyway:) So the point is, I don't take a minute of this for granted. And while January was chock full of gigs and jetsetting and ROBES (see link above), February was relatively quiet until the veeery end. I spent most of February in Houston working on a few things from home, watching Criminal Intent marathons, and gaining SO much weight all throughout and about my person. I also came across some old photo prints that I did years ago in a dark room and it really has me inspired to pursue photography more seriously than ever before.(My brother Alfred, hand printed)(This chick that used to work at my favorite restaurant in Dallas, Mother Mesquite's, hand printed)The last week in Feb, I got a call that we would have to fly to LA the very next day for a big CeeLo show in Hollywood. We spent a few days in rehearsal...(The band playing during rehearsals)...and I spent a few minutes staring at this sign that I came across...(No biggie, just where my wife Katharine Mcphee's mom teaches and coaches American Idol contestants and others, and where my wife got her chops back in the day. Yep. I was able to *go to there*.)SO, speeeeaking of women named after felines who I am married to, did you guys catch when my other wife Cat Deeley retweeted me in Feb? No? I'll show you:That was cool, right? Know whats even cooler? Days later when I find out that Cat Deeley not only has great taste in food, tweets, and Arlans, but she ALSO says yes to the best gigs. She HOSTED the show we did in Hollywood! Good thing I didn't realize this until the night before the show, or I'm pretty sure I would have hyperventilated days earlier and wouldn't have been able to make it to the show at all. All tolled, I spent about 6 hours in Ms. Deeley's tall, luxurious, babe-alicious presence, and I can tell you this: the woman is HOT, friendly, DAMN good at her job, and an overall pleasant individual to be around. Unfortunately I did not get to redeem myself and ask for her hand in marriage, because she's a lady and I'm a professional...aaand truth be told, anytime she'd look in my general direction, I'd giggle and turn into a bowl of jello. But next time, I'll be rock solid, my friends. ROCK. SOLID.(My view of part of soundcheck at Hollywood and Highland. New artist 'V' was preparing for her incredible duet with CeeLo. She sounded great!)You can see pics from the red carpet and the show itself HERE!So thats a wrap for February 2012. I now return you to your regularly scheduled Daily Lesbian Moment blog:) See you again a few days into April where hopefully there will be even more to report. Shenanigans, I tell you. Pure shenanigans!- (Click here for Jan. 2012 blog entry)

Gay weddings could add $2.6B to U.S. economy in three years

LOS ANGELES, California -- Gay weddings could spark a $2.6 billion boost to the U.S. economy in just the first three years, according to new research.
?Same-sex couples and their out-of-town guests spend money to celebrate weddings,? said M.V. Lee Badgett, a Williams Distinguished Scholar. ?As we have seen in states that already extend marriage to same-sex couples, this spending boost can lead to an influx of tourism dollars that benefit local businesses and an increase in state and local tax revenue.?

The resource estimates that the nationwide economic boost from marriage of same-sex couples could be up to $2.6 billion in just the first three years.

INTJ Personality Type: 'Introvert' Does Not Mean 'Shy'

I've been learning a lot in my new media classes.  The one that I'm taking that is giving me a grade for this blog has been especially helpful.  In analyzing what keywords people use to arrive at my blog, I noticed a special one: INTJ.  The INTJWhat the hell is that, you ask?IntrovertediNtuitive (don't think that "N" instead of "I" shit doesn't bother us because it does...)ThinkingJudgingI think we will start talking about this on a regular basis but for today, I felt it was important to get a fundamental truth out of the way:Being an introvert does not mean that you're shy.  I'm very outgoing and can talk to and get along with almost anyone.  Do I want to?Hell no.  But I've learned how to be friendly and a good listener out of necessity and I'll do it if I must; it's just not my favorite thing.  An introvert is someone who recharges by being alone.  An extrovert gets charged up by being around people.  To be clear: It has nothing to do with shyness or being outgoing.  You are almost certain to have an introvert in your life so I thought I would borrow this handy chart that I found on Pinterest to help guide you in your care for the introvert (INTJ) in your life: If you offer this type of love and support to your introvert, you will be valued and prized above all others!  You may even be invited into our private world.

Dear Editor,

In honor of National Coming Out Day (October 11, 2010), we at Affirmations would like to take a moment to reflect on the continuous benefits to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community (LGBT) brought about since Michigan’s recently passed smoke free law has been implemented.

During the coming out process, many people seek to connect with the LGBT community for support, encouragement, networking and socializing. It is wonderful for the LGBT community to now socialize and connect at bars and restaurants in Michigan without facing the dangers of second hand smoke.

Historically, statistics have shown that the LGBT community is 50% more likely to start and/or continue smoking compared to its straight counterpart. We are hopeful …

Nick Jonas proud to play gay MMA fighter Nate Kulina on DirecTV's 'Kingdom'

Nick Jonas, famous as one third of former boyband The Jonas Brothers and now a solo artist and actor, spoke with Buzzfeed last night about the reveal of his character Nate Kulina's sexuality on the DirecTV mixed martial arts drama Kingdom and his feelings about the role. Kingdom's season finale aired last night and saw Nate getting rejected from a gay bar for being intoxicated and drunkenly hooking up with another male patron in an alley. Previous episodes of the series, which has already been renewed for two more 10-episode seasons, hinted at Nate being gay and the struggle he has to reconicle his sexuality with his identity as a fighter.
?Everyone at Kingdom was really transparent about the character and some of the things the character would go through. And in my prep work, I wanted to be aware so I could properly tell this story," Jonas said. "?The attitude I take in the stories I want to share and my personal life and my view is that I think we?re in a time where there?s a new progression. For all people of all walks of life to accept all people ? I?d be thrilled if I?m any part of that.?
?I have trust in Byron and the writing team to tell these stories in a really honest and grounded way and it?s my responsibility as an actor to be that person and tell those stories the best I can,? Jonas said of Nate's story going forward. ?So, absolutely I will do all I need to do. I think it would be ideal if Nate could just live in his truth and be exactly who he needs to be and be OK with it, but the reality is that, for him specifically, it?s tough. There?s a journey he has to go on, and I hold that with a lot of responsibility and I?m thrilled to get to tell this story.?
?Just because we?ve seen a truth about Nate doesn?t mean anyone else has,? show creator Byron Balasco added. ?The bigger issue for Nate is not what everybody else will think but his perception of what everybody else is going to think. All of our characters are fighting for survival, fighting to understand who they are, fighting to understand their significance in the world. You always think everybody is thinking about you all the time, but the truth is, nobody?s thinking about you ? period. Your sexuality isn?t as earth shattering to the other guy in the gym as you think it is, but it?s scary to actually find out that answer.?

Kingdom will return with new episodes in 2015. Read the full piece at Buzzfeed.

Knight at the Movies: The Imitation Game; Exodus; film notes

The oddly handsome Benedict Cumberbatch doesn't look like other film stars and he doesn't act like them, either. His richly resonant, caramel-coated voice is quickly identifiable in the wide range of roles that he has essayed the past few years even when it's been electronically altered, as it is for Smaug the dragon in The Hobbit movies . Sometimes, the parts haven't fit being miscast in August: Osage County, for starters but Cumberbatch always makes an impression. When you're hot, you're hot, and when it comes to character movie actors, Cumberbatch is on fire.

Federal Judge in Kansas Strikes Down State?s Ban on Marriage for Same-Sex Couples

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CONTACT: 212-549-2666, media@aclu.org
KANSAS CITY, KANSAS ? Kansas Federal Court Judge Daniel Crabtree today overturned the state's ban on marriage for same-sex couples. The decision strikes down the 2005 Kansas Marriage Amendment that defines marriage as a "civil contract between one man and one woman only" in the Kansas Constitution, declaring any other definition of marriage as void. The ruling is temporarily stayed, putting the effect of the ruling on hold until November 11.
"We are immensely pleased that the freedom to marry has finally come to Kansas," said Susan Estes, President of the Board of the ACLU of Kansas. "Today's decision serves as proof that Kansans, like the majority of Americans, believe same-sex couples and their families should be treated just like any other loving family."
The ruling came in Marie, et al., v. Moser, et al., a lawsuit filed October 10, 2014 by the American Civil Liberties Union of Kansas on behalf of two lesbian couples denied marriage licenses in Douglas and Sedgwick counties. Even though binding precedent from the Tenth Circuit, which includes Kansas, has already held that excluding same-sex couples from marriage is unconstitutional, Kansas state officials have continued to enforce Kansas's marriage ban and defend the ban in court.
"Today's victory adds to the tremendous momentum toward full marriage equality to which our country has been building in the past year and, especially, within the past few weeks," said Doug Bonney, Legal Director of the ACLU of Kansas. "The ACLU of Kansas will remain vigilant in opposition to any discriminatory measures put forth to chip away at equal treatment for same-sex couples moving forward."
Court documents for Marie, et al., v. Moser, et al., are available at www.scribd.com/doc/245530706/2-14-cv-02518-29-ORDER. For more information about the ACLU of Kansas visit www.aclukansas.org.

Playing my part in making life for fellow LGBT countryfolk bearable.

The State-sanctioned homophobia and transphobia in Malaysia, my country of origin, is breaking my heart. What can I do as a currently overseas citizen to make things better for my fellow LGBT folk back in Malaysia, particularly in raising awareness of the issue internationally? I left Malaysia for various reasons, but one core reason was escaping the various persecutions and micro/macro-aggressions I felt for who I am. Most of this has to do with race (my parents are Bangladeshi migrants) and citizenship/residency, but I also felt that I wouldn't be safe exploring my sexuality in a country that so deeply vilifies sexuality that "sexy" is a slur and politicians get run out of Parliament for what they wear (or don't) in their sleep. It took me until I had been in Australia for a few years that I felt safe and able to explore my sexuality and gender without having to look behind my back to see if I will get screwed over by the Malaysian Government. I have had friends and acquaintances who cannot go back to Malaysia because they will face persecution, and one person whose Government scholarship was revoked and who was forced to come back home because her ex outed her as a trans woman.

I am trying to get the word out about the situation in Malaysia, especially this ridiculous propaganda musical, but I am facing a few roadblocks:

1. I am overseas and am not likely to return to Malaysia anytime soon, so my ability to organise something back home is limited. If I did try to do something in Malaysia, I'd be dismissed as a "foreign Zionist agent" of some fashion.

2. Incorporated into the musical is a plot point about how LGBT people who protest are being paid a handsome sum by the Opposition party and are merely reacting against the advice of "reasonable Malay Muslims". This makes any show of protest difficult to be taken seriously - especially when the main sexuality rights event in the country gets shut down for "threatening to disrupt public order" - pretty much the main excuse for arresting any protestor ever.

3. I am trying to get the word out in the Bay Area (where I live right now), especially with the Queer People of Color circles I am heavily involved with. Not many people have really picked up on this though - most people get stuck on "a musical about anti-gay sentiment! ISN'T THAT IRONIC" and don't move on from there. Also it seems that Malaysia doesn't quite have the White/Western Savior Cred of places like Uganda or India, where people seem to care more about LGBT issues there.

4. Even when there are people that DO care, I'm at a loss for what they could do. Petitions are pointless, because the Malaysian Government isn't going to pay attention (the whole paid-by-the-Opposition thing). International attention would be handy, but then it becomes "Foreign Zionist Agents". Tying this in to the United Nations may be useful, but I'm sure there will be a stack of countries who will take Malaysia's side.

5. People often bring up voting, but Malaysia has arcane voting laws that make it near impossible for overseas residents to vote. I technically am allowed to vote overseas because I'm an international student (one of the few classes of overseas residents allowed to vote), but I have to register in Malaysia first - not overseas. Gah! (Besides, it's not like there is anyone to vote for in my district that isn't Ruling Party, and there's a lot of electoral fraud.)

I want Malaysians to see that the so-called deviants are people like everyone else, diverse and unique and part of their community, and not a danger or scrounge to society. My current idea is to organise a performance of monologues, ala Yoni ki Baat (semi self link) or The Vagina Monologues, about Malaysians dealing with the stigmatization of sexuality. Not just in terms of being LGBT, but also slut-shaming, ageism against young people, and misogyny - one does not have to do much to be branded a sexual deviant in Malaysia. I have been and am currently involved in these sorts of This requires being back in Malaysia for a substantial amount of time, which I am not able to do right now. I'm also reminded of how the Vagina Monologues are banned in Malaysia and how anything of this nature would have to be underground...which then leads to the issue of preaching to the choir, the people who already know that LGBT people are not evil...rather than the people who will be affected by this propaganda. Something along the lines of the Pussy Riot worldwide protests would be awesome, but I'm not sure how to get people to care.

Any ideas of what I can do to get international support? I'm reaching out super slowly, one person at a time, but I really don't want Malaysia to get away with it and continue being an unsafe hostile space for people like me.

Rejected Craigslist Roommate = Possible Date?

My housemates and I interviewed several people yesterday for a new roommate. We chose the person whose move-in schedule logistically worked best. However, we got along with all of the interviewees surprisingly well; each one stayed and chatted for at least an hour.

I especially got along with two people, and I'd like to contact them again to see if they want to get together as friends, or - especially one of them - as a date. How inappropriate is this? Would you feel flattered or stalked if someone who didn't choose you as a roommate asked you out? Probably relevant details: I am a queer/lesbian woman. This is in San Francisco. The one person I want to "get to know" more as a friend is also a queer woman. The person I really want to ask on a date is a trans* guy. Both mentioned during the interviews that they are single.

Kenny Kardashian says:

I, too, served in the Navy and also swore the same oath, not really knowing what lay ahead. While for most people, being gay is dangerous I was lucky to experience minimal discrimination and teasing. However, I was not immune from such teasing. Everyone at my shore duty facility at Naval Air Staton North Island in San Diego knew I was gay and while I made a risky move, when people asked, I told. However, there was no one running to the officer in charge. Most the people that asked me said they were “cool with it”, or others simply just knew.

I am not the most butch guy in the world, but my feminine mannerisms and the way I was did catch the attention of some few people in leadership chain of command around me. They woul…

Prop 8 backers target trial judge in urging appeal

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – Backers of California’s same-sex marriage ban urged a federal appeals court to overturn the trial judge who struck down Proposition 8 by arguing late Friday that his consideration of evidence was “egregiously selective and one-sided.”

In written arguments to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, lawyers for the ban’s sponsors alleged that Chief U.S. Judge Vaughn Walker “quite willfully” disregarded a 1972 U.S. Supreme Court precedent and other relevant information when he decided the voter-approved measure was an unconstitutional violation of gay Californians’ civil rights.

“The district court based its findings almost exclusively on an uncritical acceptance of the evidence submi…

Minnesota State High School League passes trans-inclusive policy

The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) has passed a policy that will allow transgender students to participate in athletics and other extracurricular activities. The policy, which will go into effect in the 2015-2016 academic year, reads thusly:
In accordance with applicable state and federal laws, rules and regulations, the Minnesota State High School League allows participation for all students regardless of their gender identity or expression in an environment free from discrimination with an equal opportunity for participation in athletics and fine arts.

The policy goes on to describe an appeal process in which transgender students must follow to be eligible to participate in athletics. The policy passed with a vote of 18-1 in the MSHSL.
While the policy is not without issue, including requiring a trans student to get written confirmation from their parents to confirm their gender identity (which can present an issue for some cases) and gathering testimonials from individuals who know the student in order to "affirm that the actions, attitudes, dress and manner demonstrate the student?s consistent or sincerely held gender-related identification and expression."
This vote was supposed to occur in October, but was delayed for two months. Anti-LGBT activsts took out full page ads in Minnesota papers to oppose the policy, using false and misleading messages about transgender students. However, in the end, Minnesota joins 18 other states, plus the District of Columbia in affirming the particiaption of transgender students in high school athletics.

Renewed push for harsher anti-LGBT law in Uganda

After a controversial version of the Ugandan anti-gay law, known as the "jail the gays" law, was ruled unconstitutional by the Uganda's constitutional court this August, anti-gay sentiment in the country has increased significantly. as reported by Al Jazeera and other media outlets, the court reversed the law because it was passed without the necessary quorum required by law.
The overall anti-gay environment in the country has led to a renewed campaign to get the law passed again by the end of 2014. This time the law would be in line with the rules governing the functioning of parliament. Also, it aims to employ even harsher punishments applicable on a broader scale. In addition to punishing LGBT relationships, the new bill makes it illegal to rent homes to LGBT Ugandans. It potentially criminalizes anyone who ?leases or subleases, uses or allows to be used any premises for the purpose of engaging in unnatural sexual practices.?

The legislation is triggering broad international reaction and alienates some countries that support Uganda, currently financing about 20 percent of Uganda's budget.

Choi’s life changed forever. Despite his extreme value as an Arabic speaker able to communicate quickly and clearly with the Iraqi people, one month after his announcement Lt. Dan Choi was notified that the Army had begun discharge proceedings against him. He was one of only eight soldiers from his graduating class who majored in Arabic. Lt. Choi kindly agreed to an interview with The Gay & Lesbian Times

and this is his story.

GLT: What was it like for you to be discharged from the Military?

DC: As gay people there is no shortage of pain…

FDA advisers mull lifting ban on gay blood donors

Government health advisers have concerns about lifting a nationwide ban on blood donations from gay and bisexual men, despite growing pressure against the policy from gay rights advocates, medical experts and blood banks. The ban dates from the first years of the AIDS epidemic and was intended to protect the U.S. blood supply from exposure to the little-understood disease.

Comments from the Web

They woul…

HIV/AIDS and the Military After 28 Years

Randy Shilts very accurately described the early stages of the treatment of HIV/AIDS in the military in his ground breaking book And The Band Played On. In short he described a military that when faced with an epidemic that at the time was largely viewed as being a gay disease, against the odds, they chose the higher road. The military’s initial response while far from perfect, was among the most progressive at the time.

Among other things the military made the wise choice of letting medical fact rather than social stigma and fear guide their policy. They recognized early on that HIV was not transmitted through casual contact and therefor those who had contracted HIV were not a threat to their coworkers. That realization led to a sensible policy tha…

Transmasculine / Masculine-of-Center Fashion Blogs

I'm a queer girl who sometimes likes to dress like a boy. I would like suggestions for fashion blogs that focus on genderqueer/butch/trans fashion. I'm especially looking for style aesthetics other than the very popular "dapper" look. I love Qwear and dapperQ, but they both focus on the bow-tied and buttoned-up dapper look, for the most part.

I love Fuck Yeah FTMs of Color, The Test Shot, and Original Plumbing, but they don't really have a "fashion" focus. Still, I'd love to have more rad stuff to read!

Things I'm Not Into: "Androgynous" style Tumblrs/blogs with lots of beautiful skinny ciswomen in makeup and slicked back hair and suits; menswear blogs aimed at cisgendered men.

Howard. Stern.

Liked him before. Simply ADORE HIM now. This is a MUST LISTEN. It's wonderful...honest, raw, passionate, TRUTH. On his show Monday, Howard Stern went on a 12-minute rant about the ?One Million Moms? campaign against Ellen DeGeneres, people who joke about Rosie O'Donnell being a lesbian, anti-gay politicians, and much more. It's worth listening to in its entirety.
