Women protest Zuckerberg's Christie event

Mark Zuckerberg may be the master of the world's largest social network, but at his first foray into campaign fundraising - hosting New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Wednesday at his home in Palo Alto - the billionaire CEO got a clear message that many of his Facebook "friends" could turn on him if he becomes a serious political player.

A crowd of 100 noisy protesters, including those representing women's health and LGBT interests, gathered outside Zuckerberg's home to protest Christie's presence and the Republican's positions on issues including LGBT rights and federal funding for Planned Parenthood.

Christie has four times vetoed funding for Planned Parenthood in his state, and he drew fire from newspapers there when his budget belt-tightening included ending $7.5 million in public funds for the organization that provides health services and birth control to millions of low-income women.
