Santa Barbara's Sophisticated Allure

I'm just now wrapping up a short trip to one of my favorite small cities in California, Santa Barbara. Set along a stunning stretch of the Pacific and backed by soaring mountains, it's one of the most picturesque communities on the West Coast. You'll also find the Mediterranean Revival and Spanish Colonial-style swank resorts, posh boutiques, and sophisticated restaurants that make this city of 88,000 a mecca for celebrities, jet-setters, and bon vivants. It surprises a bit that the area doesn't have a bit more of a gay following - it's just two hours up the coast from Los Angeles, and although you won't find any full-time gay bars and resorts, this is a laid-back and welcoming city....Read Full Post
