So, most people I know, know I’m a total geek for hospital shows; imagine my delight when I found out there was a new one called 24 Hours in The ER (BBC America) and it features a lesbian nurse.
Jen Du-Prat, a mom of two who lives with her wife in London.
Apparently the BAFTA Award-winning camera crew used 70 cameras to capture all the action; from the ambulance arrivals to the treatment of patients to the reaction of family members.
Each episode covers a single 24-hour period at London’s King’s College Hospital and features Jen alongside a few others as they share their stories of death, life and love of the patients at the ER.

Coronation Street fans should pay attention right now. I’ve got some bad news, some good news and some good news that wraps up some bad news. Yeah I know, bear with me…
A day or so ago a preview clip for the October 3 episode of Coronation Street hit the internet and one of our favorite young couples are back.
But then Sophie (or is it Amber) goes and does something stupid.
SPOILER ALERT!
Yes, ladies and ladies… reality is finally catching up on us.
The only slightly good thing that will come out of it is a lesbian wedding. Yes I said lesbian and yes I said slightly good thing. Seems our Sophie is going to ask Sian to marry her, but it’ll be more out of guilt than anything else.
Entertainment Wise reports: “Fans of the soap will see Sophie, played by Brooke Vincent, ask Sian to marry her out of guilt after developing feelings for Dev's daughter, Amber.”
Despite the impending doom lurking above the marital bliss of Sophie and Sian, Sacha Parkinson, who plays Sian, said it is going to be a “nice glamorous proper wedding”.
Though Sacha is quite sad about her departure she welcomes the challenge it’ll give her; “It’s going to be really sad but it’s something good to get our teeth into and I think our fans like to see drama from Sian and Sophie. I think that’s best.”
She and Brooke are having a laugh with wardrobe though: “Me and Brooke match all the time so maybe they should (have matching dresses). You know what Brooke’s like she’ll want something absolutely massive like off My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding!”
