Senate Testimony Urges Improvements in Violence Against Women Programs

Numerous battered women and their children are turned away from shelters and programs due to woefully inadequate funding. NOW's testimony included recommendations by the U.N. Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women, Rashida Manjoo Esq.
