First Civil Partnership Ceremonies Celebrated in Ireland

On Tuesday, two couples became the first to publicly celebrate their partnership ceremonies under Ireland?s recently instated civil partnership laws. The laws, which went into effect in January, provide couples with many of the protections afforded by marriage, including shared home protections and pension benefits.
